Different cultures/Different parenting styles

Before our son was born, I did not think my partner and I had very different views of ways to parent and handle even the most minor situations. I have learned in the last 9 months how much our culture and childhood effects the ways we want to raise our son. We have diverse perspectives due to having different racial/ethnic backgrounds, but also religion, income brackets, and even the difference of me being raised in a small town versus my partner growing up in the city.
